Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă welcomed the vote in the European Parliament on accepting investments in gas and nuclear energy as part of the green transition, reported Agerpres. “I welcome the prospect of implementing the delegated act on taxonomy from January 1, 2023. Investments in gas and nuclear remain part of the green transition”, the PM wrote on Twitter.

While on a working visit to Greece the prime minister discussed with his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis ways to intensify cooperation in the field of energy. During his visit the Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector became operational, which is essential for the gas transportation corridor that will allow not only Greece and Romania to access alternative gas sources, but also Moldova and Ukraine, reports Romania Insider. Ciucă and Mitsotakis also discussed finding alternative routes for exporting and transporting agricultural products from Ukraine to international markets, such as through the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
