Moldovan President Maia Sandu was welcomed by President Klaus Iohannis at Cotroceni Palace today. The official state visit by the Moldovan head of state takes place in the framework of 30 years of bilateral diplomatic relations between Moldova and Romania.
The political consultations of the two presidents “will strengthen excellent and substantial bilateral cooperation at political, economic and sectoral level and will stimulate the advancement of joint projects of strategic interest in the fields of energy, transport, health, education or information society”, reported Moldovan new site NewsMaker.
According to a communiqué by the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, priority areas of cooperation between Moldova and Romania will be discussed. Also, an agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles will be signed.
President Sandu will have meetings with the interim Prime Minister Florin Cîțu, with the speaker of the Senate, Anca Dragu, and with the interim speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Mihai Grindeanu.
