Last Saturday state secretary Ionel Scrioşteanu signed a memorandum for construction of the controversial M6 subway segment to Otopeni Airport, Romania Insider reported. The European Investment Bank considers the metro extension hardly financially profitable, HotNews revealed.

The controversial segment of the M6 subway line is expected to cost 666 million euro, of which half will be financed by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency.
