On Tuesday, October 5 a new record of 15,023 Romanians tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 252 died. The positivity rated increased to 20%. Infectios rates had a seven-day daily average of 12,524, aș of yesterday, Friday, October 8; death rates around 250.

The government adopted on Saturday the proposal of the National Committee for Emergency Situations, according to which only vaccinated persons or those cured from corona are allowed to restaurants, weddings, baptisms or the cinema. Hence rapid and PCR tests are no longer sufficient, reported Ziarul Financiar.

After some confusion about when and which new measures would take effect to combat the coronavirus, Bucharest authorities clarified on Thursday evening when and where face masks should be worn in public spaces: anytime, everywhere.
