Almost sixty percent of Bucharest now vaccinated

The vaccination rate in the capital is almost 60% and in Cluj-Napoca 52.3%, vaccination czar Valeriu Gheorghiţă announced today.

“At the level of vaccination coverage, Bucharest is at almost 60% vaccination coverage rate, more precisely 59.4%. Also, Cluj County has a vaccination coverage rate of 52.3%”, said Gheorghiţă. “There are 11% counties that have a vaccination rate vaccination coverage between 40% and 50%, are 65% of counties that have a rate between 30 and 40% and 19% counties that have between 20 and 30%. The lowest is about 24%, in Suceava county”, according to the national vaccination campaign coordinator.

If the current vaccination rate is maintained, more than 70% of Romania’s population will have been vaccinated by the end of the year, added Gheorghiţă. Currently, Romania’s vaccination rate is 33%.
