Five days into the new year almost sixteen million corona jabs have been administered in Romania. At the current pace, eight million Romanians will be vaccinated within a week.

January 5 – records of people vaccinated against COVID-19:

1. Persons vaccinated in the last 24 hours: 33,260.
2. People vaccinated with the first dose in the last 24 hours: 8,029.
3. Total vaccinated persons: 7,965,720.
4. Vaccinated persons with complete scheme: 7,854,008.
5. People vaccinated with booster dose: 2,066,851.
6. Total doses administered since December 27, 2020: 15,945,962.
