Moldovan President Maia Sandu visited Bucharest on Friday to meet with her Romanian counterpart, President Klaus Iohannis. Among other things they spoke about the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine and particularly Moldova’s energy crisis. Moldovans are currently paying twice as much for their gas bills than Romanians. Sandu said she wants to buy gas from Romania, reported RFE/RL. Iohannis and Sandu also agreed to move ahead with connecting both countries’ electricity grids, Agerpres reported.
