Today almost 50,000 second jabs were administered, which means that 7,018.127 Romanians are now fully vaccinated. The number of vaccinations that are administered daily has stabilised around 100,000.

Last week vaccination czar Valeriu Gheorghiţă said that if the current vaccination rate is maintained, 8.5 million Romanians will be immunised by the end of the year. He stressed that this rate is “totally insufficient”.

November 17 – records of people vaccinated against COVID-19:

1. Persons vaccinated in the last 24 hours: 97,093.
2. People vaccinated with the first dose in the last 24 hours: 23,112.
3. Total vaccinated persons: 7,534,684.
4. Vaccinated persons with complete scheme: 7,018,127.
5. People vaccinated with booster dose: 1,247,765.
6. Total doses administered as of December 27, 2020: 14,071,356.
