There were 15.410 new cases (23% positivity rate) and 357 deaths — both slightly less than on Friday last week. A new negative record of 18,863 Romanians tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and 574 died on Tuesday, October 19.

The World Health Organization wants Romania to solve its health crisis and boost the anti-COVID vaccination campaign, Dr. Alexandru Rafila, Romania’s WHO representative, told G4Media on Sunday. Neighbouring Moldova and several EU states have offered support to Romania.
