In all the turmoil of the past week, it almost went unnoticed: MEP Dacian Cioloș won the USR-PLUS leadership in a very close race with Dan Barna, reported Romania Insider.

The alliance of USR and PLUS also rebranded itself as USR. Cioloș, currently leader of the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament, supposedly is going to renounce his position in Brussels, Mediafax reported.
